What you’ll do

You’ll work with our HCM development team to provide deliverables that help users complete tasks and discover new or improved features of the software we provide. It’s all about making people’s lives easier by saving them time and communicating the right messages.

We need someone who can:

  • Write clear communications to announce our software releases, roadmaps, and other updates
  • Prepare well-structured release notes
  • Proofread and edit our technical documentation
  • Update our in-depth user manuals
  • Coordinate with our business analysts and developers to provide meaningful messages and labels within our products
  • Get to grips with new software quickly
  • Maintain good relationships with stakeholders, including the development team, consulting team, marketing team and the customer centre.

You may also need to:

  • Communicate outages and general information to our cloud and on-site users
  • Write how-to guides with step-by-step instructions for targeted audiences
  • Create ad hoc hints and tips sheets on topical subjects for users
  • Provide aesthetically pleasing and concise integration architecture, topology, workflows, and process maps
  • Develop and maintain our existing HCM websites’ framework and content.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has outstanding skills in crafting plain, user-centric English
  • Can explain complex concepts clearly and fluently
  • Can understand users’ real-world business needs and explain how our solutions can help them
  • Has highly creative communication and critical-thinking skills, with a strong instinct for challenging conventions
  • Has a curious mind that gets to the bottom of user needs
  • Can juggle multiple tasks using excellent time management skills.

Technically you’ll also need:

  • Around 2-3 years’ technical writing experience, preferably in a software or web development environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills and a good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Confluence and Jira
  • Exposure to Web Content Management software like SquareSpace or similar - knowledge of HTML and CSS would also be useful.
