February 2024 – Fusion5 is delighted to announce that after spending the last four years expanding our long-term relationship with AWS, we have achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Advanced Tier Services Partner status from the AWS Partner Network (APN).

“The new status builds on nearly a decade of commitment to assisting our customers with AWS,” says Shannon Moir, Fusion5’s executive director of JDE and Innovation and AWS alliance lead.

“To date, we’ve launched over 20 new workloads into AWS. We’ve helped our customers build cost-effective and highly available solutions in the cloud. We have also created a number of public-facing references, as well as the world’s first completely scalable JD Edwards implementation using AWS specialised IP, which enables our customer’s environment to expand and contract on demand – saving them thousands of dollars and offering more flexibility in how the solution is deployed.”

What's behind Advanced Tier Services Partner Status?

The AWS Advanced Partner designation recognises our commitment to building and investing in a strong team of trained and certified technical experts and delivering a consistent and proven customer experience.

As an Advanced Tier Services Partner, we are required to meet rigorous certification requirements that enable us to maintain the highest standards in cloud technology, demonstrate advanced expertise across a range of AWS services and technologies, and meet stringent business and technical competency criteria.

This recognition augments our Oracle Consulting Competency gained through the AWS Competency Program, which highlights that we have demonstrated technical proficiency and validated customer success in specialised solution areas.

How does this new status benefit our customers?

While new accreditations always look good on the website, they also offer tangible benefits to our customers. This new advanced status allows Fusion5 to offer our customers guaranteed skills, certified consultants, and continuous improvements on the AWS platform.

We’ve gained 14 new certifications, including solution architects, speciality certificates in AWS Certified Data Analytics, and many more.

“With these new skills under our belt, our customers can be even more confident in our already extensive AWS capabilities,” says Moir.

“We already help our customers with data and insights, storing cost-effective data and extracting insights using AI and data visualisation, workload migrations from on-premises and other clouds. We also combine our rare Oracle workload specialisation on AWS, provide continuous improvement from a performance and cost reduction point of view, and implement DevOps and SysOps for complete automation and management.”

Moir says Fusion5’s new partnership level also opens up more funding opportunities for the business solutions company to help its customers move and manage their AWS tenancies.

“We’re very proud to have attained AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner status and appreciate our consultants' hard work and commitment in achieving the certifications needed as well as making sure our customers are happy.

“For customers with existing AWS workloads, we can use our CloudCheckr account to save money and to evaluate their security posture within AWS’s well-architected framework. Fusion5 is laser-focused on helping our customers to thrive in the dynamic and continuously changing AWS environment – we can usually offer immediate reductions to their AWS bill.”
