Business Development Manager - Cloud, Infrastructure & Security

Fusion5 is looking for an experienced, motivated, and target-driven sales professional based in Sydney to join our successful and expanding Cloud, Infrastructure & Security team, focused on selling our portfolio of Managed IT Services and Professional Services across Cloud Migrations, and Infrastructure.
As a leading Business Applications and Managed Services Provider (MSP), Fusion5’s Cloud, Infrastructure & Security practice is in an exciting time of growth. With a team of over 80 people, the team operates a broad set of Cloud and Managed IT offerings across Cloud & Infrastructure, Networking, Modern Work & Security as well as a variety of advisory and consultancy services.
Your primary focus will be achieving success with winning new Cloud Migration and Managed IT Services customers along with developing a high-quality pipeline of prospects and accounts.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Hunt, qualify and close new prospects
  • Develop and conduct prospecting strategies to identify new opportunities and progress these to closure
  • Lead the sales process including presentations, proposals, and demonstrations
  • Articulate value proposition of Cloud and Managed IT Services in terms of business impact, risk, and opportunity to ensure executive level buy-in and a business case is established
  • Proactively work with the Fusion5 marketing team in demand generation and campaign development activities, generating and qualifying leads and opportunities
  • Handle a variety of communication including, but not limited to, cold-calling, inbound calls, warm follow-ups, social media, and email campaigns
  • Achieve new business sales targets.

The successful applicant will:

  • Possess sales and technical knowledge of Managed IT Services, Cloud Infrastructure, Modern Work & Security and feel comfortable in C-Suite level discussions about the technology and operational gains
  • Have minimum 3 years’ successful track record selling Managed Services contracts, Cloud Infrastructure and/or security. Ideally well versed in Microsoft and AWS technologies
  • Be able to articulate and communicate the business impact and compelling event, with clarity and credibility
  • Be a self-starter with the natural aptitude to invest time in areas that achieve results
  • Possess excellent communication skills (both written and interpersonal) with a professional consultative approach
  • Have strong business acumen, ability to present and relate with different roles from end users to the executive team especially CIOs
  • Be enthusiastic, driven, and tenacious with the natural desire to achieve in a competitive climate.
